Business Process Options Property Box
The Business Process Options property box allows you to define if the workflow definition will be a business process. Additionally, this property box lets you configure how the business process will appear in the Laserfiche client applications and which repository the business process will interact with. To access this property box, click the blank space in the Workflow Designer to populate the Properties Pane with the business process's properties.
Note: Business processes record more information and grow your Workflow database faster than traditional workflows. Therefore, it is not recommended to configure performance workflows, workflows that run behind the scenes, as business processes.
Configure the Business Process Options
- If you are creating a business process definition or are converting a previously made workflow definition into a business process, select Make this workflow a business process. This checkbox makes the workflow a business process and will enable the business process options.
- To allow the business process to be started from the Laserfiche client applications, select Start this business process.
- To show information about the business process, such as instructions and statuses, in Business Process Details, select Display this business process's information.
- Configure a connection profile by clicking the Select a connection profile link. The profile defines the following information: the Laserfiche Server, the repository, and the user Workflow will use when interacting with that repository. The connection profile tells the business process which repository it can be started from and where to show the business process details. Learn more.
Note: Business processes can only show details and be started from a single Laserfiche repository.
- Reporting information can also be configured from this property box. Click More Options to open the Business Process Options dialog box.
